Saving things for ‘best’ is one of my worst habits, and it’s a bad habit that has extended into my professional life. The way it shows up is that I’ll be sent a parcel of beauty ‘newness’ and instead of diving straight in, I’ll save it until I can give it the time and attention I feel it deserves in order to adequately test and trial it.
In that sense, it’s actually a form of reverence for the brand and products that are neatly piled by my desk yet to be unwrapped, opened and used, but it does mean I’m not your woman if you want new news.
